Hillary is worse. She and Obama working together to pay ISIS to do all their terrorist attacks. I would never want a President to pay to make themselves look better by this. You say crap about Trump but Clinton is worse. Nothing is worse than the Clintons.

I've made the comparison in my mind too. But I do not believe Trump will be president or get the Republican nomination.

Still I would be amused to hear Trump say one of my favorite movie lines ever.

In answer to this question: I read an article last week in which Stephen King voiced his extreme displeasure at this GOP turn of events and had Mitt Romney-like words to describe Trump, and it was before Romney's appearance this past week.

The comments jarred my memory, and luckily I found The Dead Zone airing and re-watched today. All I could think about was Donald Trump, and it doesn't take a psychic to predict what will happen if he makes it to the WH. I have visions of a police state, people being pushed around for God-knows-what-infraction by big thugs (like the rallies) no matter their age, color, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, etc.

First thing is Stillson needs other peoples money for the election.
Another thing is Donald Trump is not religious.

I know the Left would like to think that Trump is crazy but he is one who is himself and not told to be something else like most Dems and Reps are.

Ted Cruz is the religious fundamentalist side of Greg Stillson, and Trump is the self-serving ego-maniacal side. And, as someone else posted, I could see Trump 'pushing the button' and starting WW3, just before he dashed into a protected underground compound filled with everything he would need to survive.

The similarity of Trump and Stillson is something I noticed as soon as Trump announced his intention to run.

Just for grins, it would be fun if Christopher Walken started showing up at Trump rallies 

Reagan... "He's Greg Stillson!" Bushes 1 & 2... "Greg Stillson!" McCain & Palin: "OMG! Mr. & Mrs. GREG STILLSON!"

Of course you will now claim Trump is Stillson. Wouldn't want to break your record. You also always claim you will move to Canada when the Republican wins but you never do.

If horror authors weren't all a bunch of Lefties, one of them should write a book about an America-hating candidate who comes to power on a populist platform through a secret coalition of socialists and communists and proceeds to destroy America from within by promoting social unrest and racial strife and weakening our position on the global stage... That's a REAL horror story.

I have never made the Greg Stillson comparison to anyone before Trump. I was even surprised that Trump represented to most accurate traits of Stillson. He's brash, brazen, and obnoxious as depicted in this movie. Hell, Trump's campaign promise to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it sounds just as insane and bizarre as Stillson's campaign promise to send air pollution into outer space in plastic bags.

Stillson was slimy and ingratiating. Stillson was a stereotypical Stephen King "Evil bible-thumper". I see very little in common with Trump.

I wasn't referring to you personally, but I recall the Stillson comparison being mentioned by people in regard to every Republican candidate since the movie came out. Every Republican is either Stillson or Hitler to the Democrats.

And what is so hard to understand or far fetched about Trump's plan to make Mexico pay for the wall? Don't you understand how he plans to do it? It's very, very simple and straight forward. Mexico either builds the wall or we cut off all aid and assistance and trade and Mexico shifts for themselves instead of sponging off America. As Trump says, our relationship with Mexico currently benefits them FAR more than it does us. The wall will be up within six months of that ultimatum being issued.

The Liberal mind is so sensationalistic. So quick to employ inflammatory rhetoric and hyperbole. I guess that's what comes from having an entire ethos based on lies, deceit and denial.

You know, that's actually a good base idea. I mean, I'd read or watch that, and I'm a [true] liberal, not a REgressive authoritarian fascist, before you think I'm being facetious or sarcastic.

And before you blow me off, there is really some basis for that kind of thing, like the unusual support and interest heaped upon the early Feminist movement by the CIA (and that's only one example) - you could even do it as an alternate reality timeline, where all of that was wildly successful. Why don't you write it?

Donald Trump also pretends to represent himself as a man of the people and working class, he even wore that white hardhat recently, like Stillson did, then they are both from Northeastern USA!

Trump's campaign openly asks for public donations now as well so it will help him advertise against Hillary Clinton until November.
