I think people are missing the fact that on the box it says "Ragile" The F is kind of 3/4 off.

The old man thinks "Ragile" is Italian

Somehow I always heard it, "Frajeelee."

I've always been confused. It's written "ragile" (because the stencil was off center) but I swear he's saying "fra-gee-lay".

It would make more sense for the Old Man to say "ragile" because his wife corrects him (although she could correct him with either pronunciation).

He is definitely, without any doubt, saying "Frajeelay". The "F" can be very clearly heard every time.

He's saying the F. He knows it says Fragile, just doesn't know how to pronounce it.
