When the spirit 'told' the 4 kids that Susan was in danger and then
she drowned to death...did she die cuz it was her fate or did the evil
of the house cause her death

I think that the house or demon in the house caused her death.
I guess that's up to the viewer to decide. I've heard several stories of people using Ouija board and whatever spirit is communicating to them warns of something bad in the future. Every time I hear those stories, I always wonder if that something bad would've happened anyways or if the entity that communicated to them made it happen.
