3D?

how do you set up the 3D on the DVD? the DVD says 3D but its not?

reply

According to what I read, only the UK DVD release is in 3D, while other releases are not. However, those who bought it don't think it works very well, if you see the customer reviews here: [url]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amityville-3-D-Demon-Collectors-DVD/dp/B0001M1JNY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1302789833&sr=8-1[\]

Note also that it's anaglyph 3D as well, which means using the red/cyan glasses. Won't make a difference if you don't have the above release, though. :)

I got the Amityville boxed-set collection a few days ago, and what sucks is that this movie is presented in 3D, but the DVD case doesn't contain the lens for it! The result: most of the scenes look unfocused. I wish they would released a regular 2D option as well (like Friday the 13th III), since it's a two-sided disc and I really don't care much for 3D.

It's a long time since your post but I just saw that the new Amityville Blu-ray box set will include the 3D version. I am not sure whether it will be done in the new standard for 3D blu or if it will be like Friday the 13th part 3 that uses the cardboard red/blue glasses.

I got the DVD from my local library and there are both 2D and 3D versions with a pair of 3D glasses included. The 3D version works fine (sort of), it has the correct colour scheme. The publishers are Another World Entertainment and Atlantic.

Here it is: http://www.anotherworldent.com/index.php?n=catalogue&s=show&ty pe=dvd&idem=c135e5bb2b8bc88e

I watched it in 2D first, it was a lot of fun! Love old horror movies from the 70s-80s. :)
