IMDb "Crazy Credits" claims the end credits carry a disclaimer stating that this movie is not a sequel to "Amityville Horror" and "Amityville II." I just watched the DVD and it doesn't have any such disclaimer. What's up with that?
That was on the movie posters. At the time, George Lutz was suing the studios over Amityville II: The Possession since he owned the sequel rights to the first movie, and the studio was saying that Amityville II was a prequel.
shareOK, but the disclaimer was about this movie, not The Possession and it makes no sense. If it's not a sequel then what the hell is it? Did they try to say it was a prequel, too?
