best field sequential 3D movies?
Speaking of 3d movies… What field sequential 3D (the shutter glasses ones) movies would you recommend as being the best in terms of story/acting and 3D effect?

shareFriday the 13th part 3
There comes a time to put away childhood things. But some things just won't stay put!
I have had field sequential for ages now and my favourite movies are these:
1. Creature from the Black Lagoon (Amazing 3-D!)
2. House of Wax (Again, amazing!)
3. Treasure of the Four Crowns (aka El Tesoro de las Cuatro Coronas)
4. Parasite
5. Friday the 13th Part 3-D (has great 3-D moments but basically the movie sucks)
The new Final Destination is going to be in 3D

Hi,
I am a huge 3D fan . And i was wondering if any one can tell me .
Does field sequential really come out of the screen like in your face . If so i am thinking of putting money in to buy the field sequential 3-D system and some 3D movies .
It well worth it. The tricky part is finding ebay sellers that sell good items.personally I would avoid Austrailian sellers...there is a seller out of California 3d miester I've come to rely on.make sure when you buy Dvds that they are true stereoscopic images.I personally don't like the converted movies....
shareAlso, check for sellers that use paper labels on their DVDs...can cause MAJOR problems with playback if your DVD player isn't designed to play the heavier disks. And yes, the fake "superliving" stuff out of Australia is horrible!
shareWhat? Friday the 13th Part 3 is cool. I love the heavy, "Cello" based score towards the end. It starts right after Chris has found the bloody clothes in the shower. That movie is alot of fun. Also, if you read about the technical aspects of this film, it is really interesting. The use of the crane that almost took out half the crew. This movie is what started the early 80s 3D boom and was until recently the most succesful modern day 3D feature. If you balance out the inflation on the ticket sales for its gross to todays dollars, that is a huge turnout for this film.

JP...you obviously know what you're talking about...I completely agree with you!
PEACE & BLESSINGS
4. Parasite
Hitchcock´s Dial M for murder. Grace Kelly in 3D!!!
shareFriday the 13th part 3 is a lot of fun to watch in 3D. Sure everything else about the movie isn't that great but who watches a 3D movie for anything but the 3D?
Still i'd love to see Amityville 3D in a field sequential version. The anaglyph version just sucks balls.

Friday the 13th, Part 3 would be the best example in my opinion...although there were 3-D movies way before, Friday the 13th, Part 3 introduced a "new innovative" way of 3-D (at the time of the movie) that a lot of filmmakers still use as a blueprint today...I was about 7 when this movie originally opened in theaters and I wasn't old enough to see it (back then they strictly enforced the under 17 rule)...I never thought I'd get to see the 3-D version but by a stroke of good fortune, some type of traveling group that showcases old horror movies came to my city and I was FINALLY able to see it! It was awesome, I almost can't describe it...the theatre was so packed you would have thought it was opening night...so many things were purposely put in this film that you can only truly enjoy if seen in the 3-D format!!!!!

How dare you say that Friday the 13th, Part 3 sukked?! That is my favorite out of the entire series...besides the obvious campiness (which was prevalent in most 80s horror movies), this was a good movie...and it had the best looking cast out of the whole series...and it introduced Jason wearing the infamous hockey mask for goodness sake!

Way to go for having good taste in horror movies :)
