This is correct for all 3 films. :) Only minor shots were filmed inside the house, usually shots looking outside from inside a room. Notably, in the first movie, when George is coming back with Harry from checking the boat house, we see him walking back with a shot from inside the house. People have said that the wallpaper/color doesn't match the set.
The house still stands today, it's been moved over one plot and turned at another angle. The sun porch side of the house doesn't face the river anymore and the roof/eye windows were only a façade added and removed for filming. It's a really nice house, too. The house was up for sale for a while and then it was abandoned after hurricane Sandy hit. Me and my partner went there during a camping trip near the area and we were able to get some really awesome close up shots of all around the house.
