I figure demons can take on a human life form, and I started wondering if the real estate guy early in the movie was one of the house's demons.
Why did I think this?
Because the way the photos of him only were distorted when Melanie was studying them.
Obviously I saw I was wrong when he got killed by the spirits in the house later on.
Nahhh, he couldn't have been the demon, he was just an ordinary realestate salesman...! He even said that he couldn't sell the house on either sides...

I can see why you would have thought that, I always thought that the pictures being distorted was a symbol of something bad happening to him in the future, but I can see why someone would think a distorted photo of someone meant that person was something evil/not human.
shareI think that might have been an homage to The Omen. Weird things in pictures foreshadowing bad things happening to the character in the future.
