Nepotism?
How did Stef's father manage to get him a temporary job at the mill when there were busting up a furnace? Wouldn't that job go to a recently laid off steel worker?

shareThe same way these things happen today. Its a steel mill. Thats what they did in PA back then. Maybe its Nepotism but is that a rarity in ANY field? It's never WHAT you know, its WHO you know. They all would do the same thing
shareMany union jobs are based on cronyism and nepotism as this one in a steel mill. Many people working at those places are well-paid, but angry and ignorant a'holes, nevertheless.
shareWouldn't that job go to a recently laid off steel worker?Like Stef's brother, who we see working there too. It's only temporary work. He managed to get them both on.🐭 share
