So is Stefan Djordjevic Serbian or Polish?

His name is a common Serbian name.

that's what I was thinking

So was Tracy supposed to be Serbian as well? In the post wedding scene you can see a car with "Just Married" as well as "Tevaz Sebaseni" or something like that written on the side. It's not Polish so I guess it might be Serbian...but considering Riley is an Irish name I'm assuming his girlfriend Tracy is supposed to be Serbian or some other eastern european nationality too then.

Jos nisam upoznao Poljaka s` tim imenom !

Djordjevic is 100% Serbian second name. It is very common actually. Maybe it was some mistake by movie director?! It doesn't matter that much 99% of American viwers wont even question or didn't question this when movie was released.

serbian. i read it online and it gave the synopsis that he was serbian-american

Djordjevic is a Serbian name. Some Americans tend to lump Eastern European nationalities together. I guess that is why Stef was referred to as a "Polack". I am of Lithuanian descent so I guess that also makes me a "Polack" to some people.

In the marriage scene he says a toast in Polish: "Na zdrowie". Makes me wonder))

reply

it's also 'nazdravlje' in serbian and croatian. sounds almost the same.

reply

Ok, as a Russian, what I hear is "на здоровье":D
It definitely is not "na zdrAvie". The subs say "na zdrowie".
