Lucille Ball's production company produced the movie, and that entitled her to onscreen credit as executive producer. She was not involved creatively; rather, her company backed it financially. And when she saw the final cut, she was not happy with the language and the nudity, so she had her credit removed. Instead, her husband Gary Morton was credited as sole executive producer.

The film was produced by Stephen Deutsch, with Phillip Goldfarb as co-producer. Gary Morton of Lucille Ball Productions was executive producer. Morton was married to Lucille Ball from 1961 until she passed away in 1989.
