Martin

I was watching this again & it reminded me of something I've wondered. When they first show Martin flying Donovan somewhere Donovan picked up a key to a door. He gave the key to Shawn. Did Martin drop the key on purpose or was it just there? He was about to hand it back to Martin & then put it in his pocket instead. Anyone know what scene I'm talking about?

yes, the visitors were still liked & respected at that stage. my guess is that the key belonged to martin & donovan just picked it up as a kind of souvenir...without martin's knowledge. he only began to realise its importance when he started to uncover their secrets.

i personally think he put it their so he would find it so he would do his thing on the mothership

reply

that would not make much sense because :

1. donovan did not suspect the visitors of doing anything underhand at that point
2. donovan & martin were still strangers to each other
3. the resistance were not yet formed

donovan just happened to pick it up & keep it as a memento. he would never have given the key to sean in the first place if he thought it was important.
