Mad Magazine 'V' cover?

Anyone out there know the issue number of Mad Magazine that featured Alfred E. Newman as a classic 1980's era "V" visitor on the cover, complete with torn skin reavealing his reptilian face? I've seen the cover many times before, but now that I want to try and locate a copy for myself, I can't seem to digg up any info on it from my google searches. Can't even find the cover itself on googleimage, and have been going thru tons of cover scans for back issue sof 'Mad' on Mile High Comics, with no luck whatsoever...

That is funny! Any scans of the V story inside? I wonder if other similar mags parodied V (such as Cracked)?

Mad 298 had a cover of an angry Gizmo on it with all these Alfreds drawing graffiti on him. And that issue came out in 1990.

I posted something a bit prematurely after some googling. But here's what I've found out since then:

Apparently, the one with Alfred as a visitor was #298 in the UK;
And U.S. edition #298, with the angry Gizmo, became #342 over there.

There doesn't seem to be a U.S. version of the UK #298 cover.
Doug Gilford's MAD Cover site has images of all issues... and it's not there.

...and I'm not sure why the UK is 44 issues ahead of us. But even #254 doesn't have the Alfred / V cover. Rather, it's the "Special Rock" issue.

I don't recall them ever doing that, although they might've considered that as a cover. They did do a cover where Alfred's face is removed and we see an ape underneath it because they were spoofing Planet of the Apes and its sequels all at once. This was issue 157.
