Encore is airing both miniseries! AND, they are On Demand for free!

I was exploring On Demand, the free part when one subscribes to Encore, and discovered that they have BOTH miniseries available!

I have a rather rugged videotape from the original run, but having no commercial breaks is a dream=} Also, our cable service back then was rather poor, with weak signals and occasional disruptions. So, it will be wonderful to have good VHS copies of these. WHEE!!

I kept trying to catch it when it was aired on regular Encore, but I could never time it right. This is a big treat! I was in my 30s when this aired and recall going to Space Trek in St. Louis, where we were ultra-delighted during the costume contest when two sunglass-wearing, redclad, soldierly men strode onstage, greeted with a mix of applause, booing and shrieks of laughter. What timing! Also, in the dealers' room, one of the hottest items was an 8 x 10 of the ship and the Arch. Sadly, I couldn't afford one of the prints. Years later, all I'd have to do is find the image and perhaps use it on my screen.

Sorry for rambling, but this is soooo great! I can't wait to show my mom a copy for which I don't have to adjust the tracking repeatedly. *smile*
