Does anyone have a copy of when this premiered?

So, I like to watch movie premiers with thier commercials intact (brings me back to that time)Does anyone have this? I would definately be willing to trade for it.

What's so crazy about standing toe to toe with someone saying "I am"?

The problem is that most of us likely paused to leave out most of the commercials. I occasionally copy commercials I like, but my tapes from that time would mostly be commercial-free.

You have a copy of the premier? Even without commercials I would be interested

Half of my VCR doesn't work, so I can't make copies of them. I'd have to check them out to see how good a shape they're in. I recall that my VCR went out on me, and I had to rent one, an ancient top-load model. So, they're probably not great copies.

Actually, I'm trying to decide what to tape over so that I can get both miniseries from On Demand, a free service with subscription. That would be so nice to have unchopped-up copies of both. I'll have to see how to arrange it, such as taping part of the second with the first miniseries. Such decisions. *grin*

Yeah I have encore on demand. You don't have a dvd recorder? The standard non high def ones are pretty inexpensive these days.

I've never wanted one of those. Friends give me DVDs, as I'm supposed to be able to watch them on my laptop, but I've never gotten around to that. I want to do other things on my laptop. Even when I watch on YouTube, I can have it on a reduced-size tile and work beside it as I watch. Besides, I have a VCR already, so I don't know where I'd fit in a DVD; there's simply no room for one.

I can't picture recording on one of those disks, especially because you can do it once only. what you record is it, even if there's a goofup, leaving you with a wasted disk.

I guess I'm awfully old-fashioned.

I do worry about my faire/event tapes. I would be heartbroken if I lost them. I wondered about a professional transfer so that I'd be sure I have safe copies.

You can use DVDs that are rewritable. So, you can record over them againa and again and again.

I still have my VCRs hooked up and I still watch movies on them. There is something much cooler about a VHS tape than a DVD. So, I certainly understand where your coming from.
