This series is awesome

I just love it.The whole complete series, cast and feel of it all.Thrilled I purchased it all,(Walmart now offering it at reduced price)as if you waite for tv to put it on air you will waite forever.I know sy fy channel did run this whole series just before the new "V" came on the air,but it still makes you want to watch it over again. This series makes you feel like you are right there with them, battling it out along side them.Unlike todays movies and shows. They are so "out there, spacey and all over the place, nothing makes any sense. This one was full of action, suspense, thrills and horror in places.I am very unhappy with the so called "remake" though its truely NOT a remake since its so far off the beaten path as far as I am concerned these new writers stole this concept from the original writer that made this one.Remakes or so called remakes do not make it and are nothing but ripoffs.Seems like Hollywood is doing alot of that lately with tons of movies now. The producers are lazy and its sad they cant come up with new ideas.Very few remakes do good."Invasion of the body snatchers" was an exception. Now that was a true remake.Long live the original "V" and its cast.

In all fairness Battlestar Galactica had a great revival...but there's a huge difference between BSG and V.

The original V...HAD GOOD CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND A COMPELLING STORY! The original BSG was in desperate need of a finer tuned plot, hence the reboot series worked. The two V miniseries were both pretty strong, with graphics aside, coming across as movies rather than TV shows (albeit very, very, VERY long movies).

Given that just a while back V's creator Kenneth Johnson was planning a new TV movie/miniseries for NBC based on the concepts of his 2008 book it makes it even more "What were they thinking?" when it came to selling the rights...not only selling the rights, but why NOT involve the plans that the creator wanted to use?

the show only lasted 19 episodes (i even checked my dvd set to be sure)

regarding the "ran episodes 2-19" part, are you positive episode 1 didnt air? i ask because i just recently discovered the 3rd episode on the dvd set actually didnt air on television til a few months after the show had ended. NBC originally banned it for some reason. so maybe Sci-Fi just used NBC's original schedual meaning they aired episodes 1 and 2, then skipped to 4 until the final one being 19.
