Location location location

As someone mentioned on a review of the show Scarecrow and Mrs. King the stories were based in and around DC but filmed in California. I forget the episode title or the main plot but one episode in particular Scarecrow chases the bad guys and they have a shoot out on the tarmac of a "local" airport which they call "Silver Springs Airport". Unfortunately there is no "Silver Springs" in Maryland, the city is called "Silver Spring" and the closest small airport would be The Montgomery County AirPark in Gaithersburg Maryland.

What's the use of a good quotation if you can't change it?

God what a great show. When they were on location in London or Germany...just loved it. I miss the action adventure comedy series.

I always loved when he came to her house at the end of every episode and she had to make some excuse about taking out the trash. I totally miss this show!

I came on specifically to ask a question - in the episode with John Rhys Davies in season 2, where did they film the estate scenes? The architecture looks just like the manor in Gosford Park. Is it the same place?

I just finished watching Season 2 Episode 2, The Times Are a Changin' and at the end it says the entire episode was filmed on location in Munich. These European-based episodes are wonderful.

That's only one of approximately one million geographical errors they made on this show -- pretty funny if you're local to DC (or better yet, Arlington, where I live).

I remember one notorious gaffe where they made a reference about driving east out of DC toward the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ummm ... that's west, folks. Head east and you fall into the Chesapeake Bay.

I am in Hagerstown, MD about 90 minutes northwest of DC. The one that got me was the episode that was shot in the Marina, they were taking a boat out. It was suppose to be the docks of Annapolis MD and obviousley was shot in California, there are no palm trees at the Annapolis Harbor, it looks more like a New England port town.

Actually driving west from DC would put you in the Appalachian Mountains, namely Braddock Mountain and South Mountain.

It was a great show. Would be great for a reunion to happen too.

I have only been to Washington D.C. a few times, but I was noticing that the train scene in the first show, shown in the cast, is not Union Station because it's outside.
