Iola acted like an overgrown schoolgirl and liked it!

Iola never struck me as a woman. She didn't seem to have any interest in having a kids or romance..(only a crush on Vint) puppy love.. She only hung around Thelma, giving her advice, trading thoughts and ideas, but mature conversations? I don't recall any. I think Iola loved being a spinster school girl. She surely wasn't aware how people dressed or behaved in public places.
I think she didn't grow up because her mommy and daddy told her not too. She certainly attributed a naivity that was difficult to correct had she lived in the real world... Lastly, that KNOCK KNOCK, when she let herself in Thelmas house made me sick just to see her coming in.

Iola was just a couple of generation behind the times I think, she acted like she was from the 40s or 50s I think.

There was an episode where Thelma and Iola were supposed to go off on a cruise and Iola's mother sabotaged it from happening. I think, if I recall correctly, Thelma said Iola's mother was always getting "sick" anytime Iola wanted to do something.

And in the chili contest they had, Iola said when she made chili for her daddy her mother sabotaged that, too.

So, I think that explains Iola a lot.

weird thing... in the ep dependents day, iola gets kicked out of the house for standing up to her mother. how the hell did this massive, invalid old lady kick her out of the house?

Iola was pretty repulsive. She did have a shot at getting some D when she met that Norwegian sailor on the Hawaiian episode. Not sure why nothing transpired. I guess she wasn't ready to give up her lezbo ways.

What "lezbo" ways are you talking about? I never saw nor heard it implied that she had ANY attraction toward women.
