I would have kept his true identity a secret until the last scene--even to the audience.
shareI can see that. It would have been interesting.
But as I recall, the moment where he reunites with his mother (earlier in the story) is pretty moving. Plus, one of the motivating factors for investigating Will Henry's old notes is to see if he could find any evidence against his younger self. That's when he discovers the murders. So I see why they wanted us to know early on.
