Is it just me or is this movie more popular today than its release?
I swear half the times I come on the Moviechat site I'm seeing this movie show up on the latest movies people are talking about.

shareJust today. Some guy here is keeping the movie relevant.
shareI never even knew this movie existed until several years ago.
shareIts comic set-pieces are still discussed today. Film schools frequently show the sequence with Scatman Crothers bicycling with Albert Einstein because of its deft comic timing and witty dialogue. Scott Baio and Willie Aames became the greatest comic duo since Laurel and Hardy or Hope and Crosby. It's often been compared to the early comedies of Woody Allen or some of Preston Sturges' best work. The film is beloved far more now than it was in 1982.
shareThat was hilarious. Having never seen the movie you roped me in with the Scatman comment. But had me rolling with the next sentence.
shareI would imagine for the millennials it might hold some interest in regards to how fun life and films were at one point. It is a crap film though but a "gift" most of us would love to have.
shareI just watched it cause it kept popping up on the moviechat feed. It was pretty mediocre. I still enjoyed it though. Did a double feature, this, then Society (1989). The latter was much better.
shareI"d say people love Zapped a lot more today than back in the day. It was ahead of its time. Comedy legends like Garry Shandling and Larry David have said how much the film means to them. Jim Carrey modeled his mannerisms in The Mask from funny bits he learned from Zapped!
shareNah, its just you
