Was Garp's mother a rapist?
I saw the movie as a child so long ago that my memory is a haze but I am working on the book right now and I think mounting a brain dead person who is physically capable of an erection is just as much a rape as a male nurse having sex with a comatose woman?
I think she committed the almost (emphasis on the "almost") impossible event of a woman raping a man.
Granted the "Ellen Jamisons" were protesting rapists who were far worse than she was but being technically a rapist all of the anti rape feminist women should have hated her. Idolizing a rapist when being a feminist seems to me to be hypocritical.
Maybe the movie is a different story but the BOOK version of Garp's mother should have been fired from nursing, convicted of rape or some other rape like crime (no way a brain damaged person like that could give consent) and be registered as a sex offender.
There is something I find very ironic about a rapist being idolized by feminists.
