Contradictory trivia

In the trivia section it mentions in one item that Blake Edwards really wanted Tom Selleck for the role that went to James Garner, but he was too busy with his TV show. Another trivia item says Edwards denied that he ever approached Selleck, and Garner was the only person he ever had in mind for the role. Clearly, both of these cannot be right. It kind of makes you doubt all trivia on IMDB.

Yep, great example of why you should take it with a grain of salt. All the trivia entries are user-submitted after all.

As with the FAQ section, anyone can post anything they want, really.

And sadly, a lot of people can't seem to distinguish rumour or their own opinion from a fact.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
