The music helps make this movie a legit snapshot of its time. The music kind of reminds me of the theme to Hill Street Blues, and Chuck Mangione’s late ‘70s hit, Feels So Good.
Love the Hill Street Blues theme also. Thanks for pointing the way to Feels So Good.
Dave Grusin was omnipresent in the late 70's to early 80's. Love his scores. Other good ones from him that springs to mind are Heaven Can Wait (1978) and Author! Author! (1982).
The score is very dated. "Dated" doesn't mean "not good".
But in this case, I did not think it was very good either. But it worked because it reflected the cheesiness of afternoon soap's type of score.
