suspending disbelief

Ok I loved this movie. Seen it many times still laugh and think it's amazing.

That said; I know you have to suspend your disbelief but no one realized that Dorothy was a man??? I don't care how much make up or old lady bouffant hairdo anyone with eyes could tells he was a man.

When Julie confides the exact line that she wishes a man would say to her to cut through the b.s. and then shortly afterwards Michael is face to face with Julie at a party and he delivers this exact line to her verbatim. Ummm, she doesn't connect any of the dots??? It's not like its a common catch phrase. You'd think she'd have some sort of moment where she is perplexed.

It stretches credulity to breaking point. He is not at all a convincing woman, and you would think the dopey heroint at least would recognise him.

The whole premise of the movie is based on that. If you're not willing to accept that then you probably didn't like it. It's not a whodunnit or political thriller

I hate to hear your take on superman/Clark Kent
