Show me the magic

As Casavetes stands on the mountaintop and tries to upset his wife's plan to find him, he calls upon nature and says "Show me the magic" and the storm appears. I've used that line so many times and not one person has ever commented that it was from this movie....show me the magic

I've used it silently to myself, and a couple times during a Giant's game at Candlestick Park. I always thought it was a great line. I've never forgotten the scene you describe. I didn't get it at first, but when the clouds started brewing I immediately knew this was a cool film.

At Candlestick, it would be more like, "Show me the blanket!" Thankfully, now the Giants (and the Boss) have the much-warmer Pac Bell/AT&T Park in which to play.

Well, you have to admit it's a fairly obscure film. I mean, it's not like saying, "You can't handle the truth!" or "Here's looking at you, kid" or "I AM big. It's the pictures that got small!"

All the universe . . . or nothingness. Which shall it be, Passworthy? Which shall it be?

reply

Its obscurity is part of its charm. Something like "Show me the money" is too obvious.

reply

Very memorable scene. It was also in the trailer.
