The original graphic novel of this was amazing,it's a shame that the Hollywood t0ssers wont get their hands in their pockets and throw some cash at a decent remake instead of Superman (The B&H years) or Spiderman 6,if they gave this anywhere near the effort and cash that they threw at V For Vendetta (which was pretty damn good) and Transf00kingformers (which was a trumpetful of sh!te)they'd have a masterpiece, instead of a d!ldo in a daft rubber suit.

As much as I decry re-makes (like Halloween, Hills have Eyes, etc), this one could definitely use a 21st century upgrade.

With today's special effects you could really make this look great. It would have a great story too as long as they play up the Plant Elemental storyline. So far, whenever Swamp Thing has been seen on the Large or Small Screen, they always played up the "man transformed into plant and tries to become human again" angle. I didn't follow the live action TV series very long, so I don't know if he was ever revealed to be the Plant Elemental in that series.

So if they use the Plant Elemental aspect, they can really go all out with the visuals. Introduce the Parliament of Trees, all that.

Agreed. A remake is sorely needed for this great character. This film just did not do him justice whatsoever, especially considering it turned a darkly sinister horror comic into a fluffy action-sci-fi.
