I know everyone is getting tired of the words remake mentioned with older movies, but I don't feel like this movie even qualifies as classic. I think the comic book and the idea was classic and I loved the movie back then, but this movie is in need for 21st century rehaul, cool plant effects and everything. I don't think I have seen anything like that yet.

Any remake of this movie would have to do what the comics did when Alan Moore took over as writer and completely revamped the character. He revealed that Alec Holland had in fact died in the explosion that "created" Swamp Thing and that this mythical creature is in fact a earth elemental. Do away with the cheese and camp and take the character seriously.

I would love to see this movie re-made and closer to the comic book rendition. Use lots of CGI and special effects! This movie was just too low budget to go anywhere!
