Latest DVD release (10/24/06)

Sony Pictures re-released The Snowman on 10/24/06, just received my copy in the mail. A little confusing because the sleeve notes say "With a special introduction by David Bowie". Played the movie, was as wonderful as I remembered it to be, but no sign of David Bowie, it has the original Raymond Briggs introduction. E-mailed Sony and just got the reply : "SPHE has recently been made aware that incorrect artwork was published for The Snowman which states that the DVD includes a special introduction with David Bowie. This special introduction was not made available on DVD. Please bear with us as we address the issue and make the appropriate corrections to the artwork." To their credit, they even offered to issue a refund - NO WAY!! I hope I live to be 90, just to have the excuse to play "The Snowman" every Christmas, one of the most magical pieces of animation EVER produced. Now if someone would ONLY arrange for an American release of Raymond Briggs' post-nuclear "When the wind blows" !!!!!
