References to other Parker films
The kids sing "Fame" in the car and there is a poster of "Pink Floyd: The Wall" on Sherry's bedroom wall.
Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I did, and it was incredibly distracting and smug of Parker.
Well, why don't we call it "research" or something?
It was extremely smug, distracting and unrealistic. I had a hard time believing those girls would be singing "Fame" in the car (they'd be too young to see the movie without parental supervision, and I doubt either parent would have taken them), and I highly doubt they were Pink Floyd fans. Why not just toss in a Turkish prison reference for good measure?
shareI just saw the movie--doesn't seem unrealistic the girls would be singing the song from "Fame," as it was all over the radio back then. The girls wouldn't have had to see the movie to know the song.
shareI was a 12 year old girl when this film came out. I knew the song Fame from my mother's record and the radio, and loved Pink Floyd's The Wall (Part II). So did a lot of my friends.
