the "George" character is just a horrible person. At least he got what he deserved after destroying the tennis court. If Faith took him back, she deserved more of his insanity too.

More a tragic scene than anything else. Though Finney was an unhinged nutcase it wasn't much fun to have his daughters watch him go insane and have their mom's new boyfriend beat the hell outta him. But that was the power of the film, dissolution of family.

He pretty much just recklessly drove into a crowd of people. Someone could have been killed (someone sitting there, drinking some of that tequila). If he didn't end up in a psychiatric facility, sent there by his soon-to-be-ex, then there is no justice in this world~
