shareyeah thats true. us older folk who were kids in the 1980s ran around the neighborhood on our bikes and scooters and mooched off our friends' parents during the summer time.
I still love Secret of NIMH and Popeye the Movie but it still bugs me that pretty much every movie that was supposed to be for families and kids the movies end up dark and a little disturbing especially with Secret of NIMH.
the only cute stuff in NIMH is of Jeremy and his new crow girlfriend at the end.
I partially blame Don Bluth. He was a bit like Roald Dahl; not afraid to show the darker side of life in children's stories, and yet still make them memorable.
