I just re-watched this today and noticed the scene where the rats get tested on in the lab and get smart enough to escape in a coordinated effort overnight is almost exactly the same as what happen in the new Planet of the Apes movie. it is kind of cool the concepts were the same almost 30 years apart.
shareI thought the same thing! I just saw this tonight for the first time, and that's the first thing that came to me upon watching it. I also thought of the Stargate when they kept showing that circle thing with the green hologram in the beginning and later on with Mrs. Brisby.
shareConquest of the Planet of the Apes came out in 1972. From my understanding it is similar to Rise of the Planet of the Apes, although I will admit to have not seeing the new movie. If memory serves the apes in Conquest escape in a similar manner
