How old were you when you first saw this film?

I know it's kind of a stupid question, but I'm curious, how many of you have actually seen or heard of this movie without the influence of the Nostalgia Critic?

I was probably 6 or 7 years old when I first saw it, in the late 90's. I used to rent it at Blockbuster a lot since then. Was a HUGE Don Bluth fan back when I was little.

Funny. I found the DVD in a bargain bin about 4 years ago at Wal-Mart for only $5.

I was about 35 when I started watching with my kids. Have been watching ever since. I recorded on VHS or I would not have it at all. I don't believe its too scary for kids, I'll have to say at least 5yrs. Most of it could be g rated but there are some parts that younger children might not understand. I have watched it many times with my children when they were young, my daughter(34) bought DVD and shows it to her daughter. I like the NEVERENDING STORY. Just a matter of opinion. I still watch it for the storyline and certain elements like the rich colors, the little elevator and the scene where Mrs. Breisbee enters the rosebush and meets Agee and Justin. I would recommend maybe in a doctors office where these children may be distracted and may not be totally consontrated on its content but enough to keep them occupied until they are called in.

Okay, so this is a little embarrassing. I'm watching is right now and I'm 67. I was probably like 45 when I first saw it. I miss the days of pre-computer generated animation - which I love - but still like the old style. Plus, I think this is a really terrific movie.

I was the same age and I am watching it right now and never knew how dark of a movie it was.

This movie is deeply ingrained into the memories I have as a child. I would say I was probably 6 when I first saw it, maybe even younger. I had it on VHS.

Wow, that's a little tough to remember. I would say 6 or 7 sounds right for me too, only I was that age 1990/1991. I pretty much grew up with Don Bluth and saw all his films back then. Some hold up like this one, others don't, but I'm glad I grew up with them as I believe they helped make me the animation fan I am today.

I was about 6- loved it in spite of the very dark themes, and the fact that it terrified me. But the scene where Mrs Frisby lifts the children out of the mud with the amulet- still gives me chills...

I first watched it at 16, just recently.
