marijuana, only hinting that the father is high or about to be, because of some rule put upon films made in hollywood? maybe they can’t show both parents drinking, if they’re alone with their children, either? just wondering.

My take is that they were very liberal and incredibly laid back on the scene and they don't trip off of it like people would in modern day. The 80's truly was the Best decade
