Does anyone know if the 'Stonevision' R2 DVD is the uncut version also with the alternate Rescue Team ending ?
Thanks in advance !

I'm replying to myself here, but it was only £2.50 on Amazon and included a documentary about Norman J. Warren...and yes, it is uncut with the Rescue Team ending.
Hope this helps someone else.

Hi, thank you for the information re R2 Stonevision version of Inseminoid. Now, when you say it has the "Rescue Team ending," does that mean that it's an provided as an extra on the dvd or it's the only ending on this DVD version? Also, I assume this is the "better ending" since it seems like that's the reason why you purchased it, correct? If so, why is it the "better ending?" I'm trying to obtain it myself and want to make sure I make an educated purchase. Thank you very much for all your help and for replying back to yourself!! :)

It's the complete uncut version, all 'extra' footage is in the film.

The Rescue Team was the proper ending and the cut version just seems to end a bit sudden. It also adds the 'there's gonna be a sequel' part most horror movies have (there was no sequel).

The DVD is VERY good quality and you won't regret purchasing it...and it's VERY cheap !

Hi urx-1,

Thanks for the info.

Inseminoid was also released (probably in several cheap editions on different labels) in the USA on DVD as Horrorplanet.

Do you perhaps know anything about this version?
Is it cut or not?
Does it have the same "rescue team ending" or is it missing?
And does the title-screen at the beginning of the movie display "Inseminoid", or actually "Horrorplanet"?

I'm in particular referring to the version released by MVD Entertainment Group, included in this "Drive-In Cheezy Movie Collection" boxset:

I myself have the movie on Region 2 DVD, released by the French label Neo Publishing (apparantly distributed by Warner Vision France, even). Nicely restored, in 16/9 format, it seems the same as your Stonevision release.

Sorry for all these questions, but I'm doing some research regarding different versions for reviewing purposes.

Thanks in advance for replying.

For it's U.S. release, the title was changed to 'Horror Planet'. No disrespect to my Colonial cousins, but 'difficult' tiles are often changed for them. 'Inseminoid' is a little ambiguous (could be 'art-house'...could be porn...could be horror...)...whereas 'Horror Planet' cuts straight to the chase-it's horror/sci-fi.

It's the uncut original release with the rescue team ending (as that was the original ending) as far as I know, and if the title WAS changed on-screen it would only be a title card inserted. Although I doubt this, as it would've played the Drive-In's and Grindhouses'...not usually a discerning audience to complain about a little thing like that, as long as there's tits and blood, they're happy.

The 'Cheezy-Flix' version is 93 mins, the same as the U.S. uncut (R-rated version)of 'Inseminoid'.

Although there are three different titles; 'Inseminoid', 'Horror Planet' and 'Horrorplanet', essentially there are only two versions. The uncut version (93 mins U.S. or 90 mins U.K.), and the version which omits all the gore and the rescue team ending.

Technically there is a third version. It has all the 'gore', but omits just the 'Rescue Team 'ending. This was on videotape in the early eighties and was cut by unscrupulous distributors so that it would fit on (then) cheaper 90 minute blank videotapes.

The topic's titled 'Pig Rape (!?)'
THAT'S how to write a review !
