Fitzcarraldo (1982) my 4th Herzog feature film

This time he truly managed to blow me away. This genious film and perhapes also character study managed to be emotional, convincing and even funny at parts. A true masterpiece and it was nice to see a less surreal Herzog. My rating 10/10.

Me too! Except my first three are Aguirre, Woyczeck and Nosferatu. I too thought this was a great movie - I was especially moved by the scene where Fitzcarraldo and his crew dance and sing while one of the natives perish under the ship.
