I thought Mick Jagger was in this film.

He was cast as an English side-kick for Fitzcarraldo but he pulled out and Herzog wrote this character out of the script. It's mentioned in the commentary.

Yeah, is that the scene on top of the bell tower? Can't imagine anyone other than KK as Fitzcarraldo!
