Is it OK dubbed?

I'm about to watch Fitzcarraldo for the first time. It's impossible to find in my country so I downloaded it and the only copy I found is dubbed in English. Should I watch it or is it crucial to watch in it's original language with subtitle? I'm a big Klaus Kinski fan and find it kind of disturbing to hear someone else's voice instead of his.

To those who have seen in what would you recommend?

I believe it was shot in English, and it is Kinski's voice in both versions.
