Still a high point of hubris...
Just watched it again after 20 something years. Still consider it and the story two high points in mortal hubris. For example: Although the boat is being tossed about and slamming into rocks on the rapids, the record playing on the phonograph never skips or the fact that Cholo is nowhere to be found during all of this (even after Fitz calls out for him) but shows up intact in a later scene without explanation. Intentional imagery or detail oversight?
