what is up with the football game being played....after christmas
is this typical in Cali??? does the season go deep in the winter months?
They showed the Christmas decorations at the mall, it doesn't mean it was Christmas yet. They typically put up the Xmas stuff after Thanksgiving. So, the football game could have been in early December.
shareI always take notice of this when watching too. I agree with the other poster that it's not necessarily far into December. It's got to be at least December because Stacy says Ron hasn't called since November.
I still feel like it's "off" in a way... not exactly a goof, but the feeling is this film covers the school year in a pretty balanced way. There is some time jumps, of course--hey, it's "fast times," after all--but we see a few scenes after the holiday season is established before the game, so it just feels like the game is taking place in late winter, especially because after the game, it's quickly spring. At least to me. However, the time of the game is never said, so I'll assume they packed a bunch of scenes in early Decenber, and then there's the game, lol.

shareI live in southern California. We have about seven months of summer, two weeks of autumn, four months of winter, and two weeks of spring. It all looks exactly the same, but if you're paying attention you can detect a difference in temperature.
