sea-sickness

when on yacht, Sir Horace Blatt asks him if he wants to go to the island with him on a yacht, but Poirot kind of implies that he has a sea-sicknes. How is that possible if we can see Poirot on several ocasions on boats... eg. "Death on the Nile"
Or did I get it all wrong and he just didn't want to go with Sir Horace Blatt

As far as Death on the Nile is concerned, I don't think you get sea-sickness from traveling on a river. The other instances were more like short trips and Poirot probably managed to pull himself together. Besides, I think he also implied it because he didn't like Sir Horace very much and he didn't want to make the trip together with him.

Also, they had several "rest stops" to look at the places along the Nile in Death On The Nile. Meanwhile, it would be one big trip upon rocky waves on Horace Blatt's boat. Poirot does not like to be in large areas of water where it can upset the boat.
