Exterior shots
Does anyone know where the exterior shots were filmed? I wonder if it is/was a real house or if it was a shell constructed for filming.

I remember seeing this as a kid and thinking that would be the best house to live in.
The exterior shots were filmed in the Hamptons, Long Island, NY. The house exists and is near the town of Southampton.
