Filming location?
Anyone know where that house/windmill actually was? It did look like Connecticut, or at least somewhere in New England.

shareWhen Caine discovers that Reeve is really writing Deathtrap, he reads the synopsis aloud. He mentions the scene is in the playwright's house in the East Hamptons. He continues reading the description aloud and it clearly describes the room they are currently in. Since that much was a literal description of their surroundings, the East Hamptons reference is probably true too.
shareAccording to Imdb's trivia section for this movie:
"The exteriors of the beautiful home of Sidney and Myra Bruhl in the film was portrayed by a lavish mansion on Long Island complete with its own old-world windmill. Interiors of the house were filmed at the Pathe Studios in New York's East Harlem. The stage scenes that bookend the film were filmed at Music Box Theatre on 239 West 45th Street, New York where the Deathtrap stage-play was still running. The Deathtrap play's set was used for the two theatrical stage sequences in this film."

Well, thanks. Back when I asked the question, that info wasn't in the trivia section. I'm not one of those people who come here asking questions without looking for the answer first.
(Sorry, I don't know why I felt the need to defend myself.)
