What was that secret room in the basement?

That was what I was wondering. If so, someone must have put cobblestone around it between the ending of this film (prequel) and before the Lutz moved in. I am also wondering where the well was.

According to various accounts I've read over the years, the basement room in the actual DeFeo/Lutz house was used as a meeting place by Satan worshippers; the well is supposedly a gateway to Hell.
