You know how many Silver Spoons fans their are? There is a petition that Silver Spoons fans have been signing and there are so far 1,966 total signatures signed. That is almost 2000 signatures. This petition is asking Sony Pictures Television to issue Silver Spoons on DVD. I mean come on if Punky Brewster is released on DVD than Sony can release Silver Spoons on DVD in season sets. To sign the Silver Spoons petition, go to: http://www.petitiononline.com/stratton/petition.html

You would think the actors/producers/director would pressure Sony for a release on DVD. It would mean more royalties for all involved..., just a thought.
shareThe need to release it on widescreen version for Ricky's character and his swelled head :P Or maybe I'm thinking of JT or Derek(Jason Bateman) lol
share"Apparently on Sitcoms Online they tried to take a stand and contacted Sony to release this on DVD but.... APPARENTLY "SONY" said there "WASN'T a BIG ENOUGH AUDIENCE" for this show!"
Puh-lease...Kate and Allie is in Season 3 on DVD and that show didn't have half the audience Silver Spoons had! There's another reason they aren't releasing the show...probably music rights of some sort.
Two shows that I wish would be released on DVD:
1.) Silver Spoons
2.) Valerie/The Hogan Family
If these shows were released on DVD I'd never ask for anything else.
I find that hard to believe.
shareSony is well known for owning the rights to TV Shows and Cartoons and not wantintg to release them. You can write and call but they are very unresponsive of course. For example, Rainbow was releasing season after season of cartoons like GIJOE, He man etc, but before they could finish teh season, Sony buys the rights and refuses to complet the series. Lame. I've been wanting Silver Spoons on DVD For the longest time!
