So much nostalgia for this show.

This ended when I was fairly young, but I remember watching this and loving it. I managed to catch an episode today and the kitchen was bringing me back to my childhood.

It was better than it's rival Growing Pains. Some trivia for you, even though I have seen the ep where the Uncle/Father's friend (played by Tom Hanks) hits on Mallory a few times I have never seen part 2, I am pretty sure there is a part 2!

When I was looking up TV Spin Offs, I didn't know there were two spin offs for this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_Being_Nick

Day by Day seems to be a very desperate attempt at a Spin Off.

Wow I don't recall any of those shows and didn't know Family Ties had a spinoff. After watching the episode today, I'm currently downloading the entire series. I love a good nostalgic show.

Yeah, they don't make shows like this anymore. They learned that you have to make the conservative character a rapist nazi to get the crowd to hate their correct world views. When they didn't do that, people like Archie Bunker, Alex Keaton, and Hulk Hogan ran wild on lefty trannies with their fan base. Hell even Ned Flanders had to get dunked on by the writers because his wholesome life was an affront to all the degeneracy the left promotes.

Oddly enough The Simpsons started off mocking Left Wing politics. Lisa in particular was mocked frequently, the ep where she has the crush on the boy who is Level 10 Vegetarian or whatever because he doesn't eat anything that casts a shadow.

Now TV shows don't even try and hide their intent. The characters make political speeches and wear t shirts with political slogans. It is tiresome.
