Time has not been kind to her - Bateman is actually five months older than me, but looks nearly a decade older than her calendar age. She seems to have issues with eating disorders as her weight has fluctuated and she’s appeared rather gaunt during several of her television appearances. If she looked similar to what she did in her youth, she probably still be sought out for roles. She doesn’t.share

Me too ... she was the most gorgeous daughter on any family show on TV. I never used to even watch this show, but if I was switching channels and happened to see her I would watch it for a bit. They just gave her such a crappy part and MJF ... I hated that guy's character so bad. That is when TV become Right-wing and immoral. There were lots of things wrong with that show. They never had a family show where the father was such a dips hit before ... it was pandering to young boys to turn them into simple-minded right-wing morons.

That show was a different era from when I watched these silly family sitcoms on TV. Kelly Bundy was certainly beautiful, but to me there was just something about Justine Bateman that I thought was super attractive.

I was VERY left-wing as a kid. If I were a student today, I'd no doubt be the best student in the country, whereas back in the right-wing 80s and 90s, I was merely a *VERY* good student, but resented by my teachers for being 'too lefty' and thus 'disruptive'.

The Hamas attacks of 10-7 uncovered a very ugly streak in a certain faction of the Left that is a very ugly stain on the Left. I for many decades and some others I've seen recently came out strongly against trying to make Hamas and other bad guys sympathetic victims to the Left, yet it continued in weird non-mainstream media ways.
I read an article a few days ago about the demographics in Germany. Germany is now about 2% Jews and 12% Muslim, which means that the mainstream politicians are forced by democratic rules to represent Muslims more, and because of their birthrates they will be 30% or so of the population by 2050.
I reject the Leftist rhetoric from anyone who makes it about Muslims, or Hamas ... this is a clever frontal assault on the West, an existential threat just as bad as the Right-wing haters. Two poles of undemocratic groups who are ruining it for the rest of the country.

shareWhile the show was in first run I had an age appropriate crush on her which says something as to how old I am. She just seemed like she just needed the right boy to come along and sweep her off of her feet. Also, a boy to shore up her insecurities. I never thought Nick was the right boyfriend conceptually but never felt she would go for a boy like Alex. I'd go for her despite her being a tad materialistic versus Blair from Facts of Life or Kelly Bundy or the Head of the Class girls.
