I just started watching the series on dvd ........ was Erica Gimpel (spelling?) anorexic? After watching the first 5 episodes I couldn't believe how horribly thin she was and that's taking into consideration that the camera supposedly adds a few pounds. I was just wondering if anyone out there knew.
shareI think that Erica is naturally quite thin. She is still playing minor roles fairly frequently in some of the best TV drama series--also had a fairly decent-sized role in the movie "Smoke" (definitely worth seeing), and is always thin. If it were attributable to anorexia, she'd either be dead by now, like Karen Carpenter, or unable to have suich an active career. Also, from personal experience, I'd say no--I was even thinner when young, and ate like a farmhand after a day in the fields. Maybe it's like my dad used to say--her legs are hollow.

shareNo,I don't think she was anorexic. That's just the result of numerous years of dancing. Dancing keeps you naturally thin. Audrey Hepburn was the same way. She spent numerous years dancing before she got terribly ill.
