What season was Janet on the show?
I would like to know what season was Janet Jackson on Fame? And how many episodes was she in?

shareJanet Jackson was featured in the 4th season of Fame which aired 1984 to 1985. Although she was signed as a regular cast member Janet had problems in her personal life when she eloped and married James Debarge who had a serious drug habit at the time.
Janet hated being on Fame and only did it because her Father was managing her at the time and he set it all up as a way to promote Janets 2nd album "Dream Street".
After asking to be let out of her contract Janet fired her father as her manager, hooked up with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and went on to record her 3rd and landmark album "Control"
Janet was featured in 11 out of the 23 episodes that season and the 2 part concert special "The Heart of Rock n Roll".
A couple of the episodes she only really had a walk on part with virtually nothing to say. The final episode of that season wrote Janet out of the show and it was clip show with very little new material.
