Been long time since I seen this show and sure I missed seasons (and/or episodes).
1. How did they explain Coco's departure?
2. Didn't Coco and Leroy date and if so when did that relationship end and how?
3. How did Lydia (a teacher) end up dating a student Leroy? I ask due to situations of today where it would be frowned on (even if he was of age).

Coco got a job with a touring company and left school (Coco later came back for one episode to "re-enroll" but decided to go out and pursue her dreams again).
I don't remember Leroy and Coco specifically dating. There may have been a bit of attraction that was alluded to.
Lydia never dated Leroy! No way. He had a crush on her in one episode but she put a stop to it.
Thanks I wish I recalled what I was remembering about Lydia and Leroy but it was near the ending Season for the show.
Think at time someone tried to explain to me that it was ok because Lydia was actually not that older than the students and Leroy at that point was no longer her student. But I was so young then and could have been just that he was crushing on her (as you stated).
